What is the Torah Pursuant Method?

The Torah Pursuant Method is a simple way to study Scripture with Yeshua at the center and Torah as the foundation.

We begin with the teachings of Yeshua. Then we ask where that teaching first appears in the Torah. From there, we trace its development through the Prophets, the Writings, the apostles, and the faithful witness of Jewish and Christian history across the centuries. The final step is to study how recent thinkers have applied the teaching under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and then to prayerfully consider how the Father would have us fulfill this teaching in our day. This is "pursuing the Torah" from the Scriptures, through the centuries, into our day. Obedience to the Torah is doing what the Holy Spirit leads us to do in light of that teaching.

The goal is not to copy ancient Israel’s national life or place heavy burdens on people. The goal is to understand how God’s instruction forms faithful disciples today.

For Jewish believers, this honors Jewish covenant identity and calling. For Gentile believers, it gives a clear way to honor Torah as Scripture without pretending to become Israel or claiming assignments tied to Israel’s priesthood, land, courts, Temple service, or national government.

In plain language, the Torah Pursuant Method asks:

What did Yeshua teach? Where does that teaching begin in Torah? How did Scripture and faithful communities develop that teaching across time? What have our great leaders said about that instruction? How has the Holy Spirit applied that instruction? How can we practice it today with humility, wisdom, and love?

It is a method for discipleship, not religious performance. It helps ordinary believers follow Yeshua more faithfully, love God more deeply, and practice obedience in daily life.

Torah: The Foundation of God's Instruction

Torah is God’s revealed instruction. It shows His character, His wisdom, His covenant ways, and His desire for a holy people. Torah does not replace grace. It teaches us what faithful love looks like after God has redeemed His people. Yeshua did not come to abolish the Torah, but to bring it to its intended fullness and meaning (Matt 5:17). For disciples of Yeshua, Torah remains a foundation for learning righteousness, justice, mercy, worship, and holy life before God.

Yeshua: The Word Made Flesh

Yeshua is the living Word of God, the Messiah of Israel, and the full revelation of the Father. He did not merely teach Torah from the outside. He embodied its goal, clarified its meaning, and showed its heart in real human life. In Him, God’s instruction becomes visible, personal, and complete. To follow Yeshua is to learn Torah through the One who perfectly lived it, fulfilled it, and calls His disciples to obey God from the heart (John 1:14; Matt 7:24; John 14:15).

Israel and the Nations: One People in Messiah

God’s love for Israel remains faithful. The coming of Yeshua did not cancel Israel’s calling, nor did it transfer Israel’s identity to the nations. Through Messiah, Gentile believers are welcomed into the commonwealth of Israel, grafted into God’s covenant story, and joined to Jewish believers as one redeemed people without erasing Jewish identity or Gentile calling (Rom 11:17–18; Eph 2:11–19). Love for Israel means honoring the Jewish people, rejecting arrogance, standing against antisemitism, and blessing what God has not rejected.

Faithful Discipleship: The Walk of Obedient Love

Discipleship is the daily walk of trusting Yeshua and learning to obey Him. It is not religious performance. It is covenant faithfulness shaped by love for God and neighbor. The faithful disciple listens to Scripture, follows the Spirit, practices repentance, serves others, and grows in holiness over time. Obedience does not earn salvation. It bears witness that faith is alive (John 15:10; Jas 2:17; 1 John 2:6). The walk is simple enough for ordinary believers and deep enough to shape a whole life.

The Torah Pursuant life begins with a simple confession. God has spoken. His instruction is good. Yeshua is the living Word who shows us the Father’s heart. Israel remains beloved and called. The nations are welcomed through Messiah into God’s redemptive story.

This is not about religious pressure or spiritual performance. It is about learning to walk with God in a way that is faithful, humble, and full of love. Torah gives the foundation. Yeshua gives the face, the voice, and the perfect example. The Spirit gives the power to obey. The community gives the place where love becomes visible.

So begin where you are. Open the Scriptures. Listen to Yeshua. Read Torah with reverence. Honor Israel without arrogance. Practice one faithful step at a time.

Come learn with us. Walk with us. Let’s follow Yeshua together in the way of God’s instruction, for the glory of the Father and the blessing of all nations.
