A Faithful First Step into Torah
If Torah is new to you, you do not need to change everything at once.
Begin by learning what Torah is, reading it in context, and paying attention to how Yeshua lived and taught within Israel’s Scriptures. Ask good questions. Learn the difference between what the text says and what later communities have said about it. Make room for Jewish history and interpretation. Resist the pressure to prove your seriousness by adopting every practice immediately.
Choose faithful, understandable steps. Learn about Shabbat. Study the biblical festivals. Examine your speech, honesty, hospitality, family life, prayer, generosity, and treatment of other people.
A good beginning is marked by humility, patience, curiosity, and a willingness to be corrected. The goal is not to become impressive. It is to learn how to walk faithfully before God.
